Grammarly grammar support expands to five more languages with AI help

Ana sayfa / AI

After 16 years focused on English, Grammarly grammar support is growing up. The AI-powered writing assistant now helps users write better in Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, and Italian, a major milestone for the platform.

This shift was driven by demand. Luke Behnke, VP of enterprise product, says multilingual support has been the most requested feature since day one. The rollout brings more than just grammar fixes. It rewrites full sentences, improves tone, and adjusts phrasing to match how native speakers actually talk.

Plus, users can now translate between 25+ languages without ever leaving the app.

SessionReaper flaw patched in Magento after critical security alert

Adobe patched a critical Magento flaw named SessionReaper that could let attackers hijack accounts via the REST API without authentication.

The new language tools are part of Grammarly’s larger AI push. In July, the company acquired email app Superhuman and launched a set of agents tailored to education. The core product, though, still focuses on refining writing.

The team uses a mix of internal models and third-party large language models like OpenAI, though only with user consent. Enterprise accounts are automatically opted out of data training.

Here’s what the expansion includes:

Early beta testers saw red lines and revision suggestions pop up in their native languages, sometimes unexpectedly. According to Grammarly, acceptance rates among non-English users match what they’ve seen with English speakers.

While Grammarly hasn’t confirmed which languages come next, it’s listening closely to business users, especially in regions with large support centers. Expect more updates where fast, accurate communication really matters.

With this rollout, Grammarly grammar support is no longer just for English. It’s now a multilingual tool for writing that actually sounds human.
